Birmingham Real Estate Attorney Succeeds in Case to Eliminate Local Historic District
For over 30 years, the law office of Williams, Williams, Rattner and Plunkett (WWRP) has succeeded in cases of zoning and land use.
BIRMINGHAM, Michigan, September 7, 2010 — WWRP, P.C. real estate attorney, John D. Gaber, recently made a compelling case to convince the Rochester Hills City Council to eliminate a historic district within the city. Despite strong opposition from the adjacent neighborhoods and the local-historic community, Mr. Gaber successfully challenged the historical significance of the house and its architectural value — the primary reasons the house was designated.
In 1978, the City of Rochester Hills designated the farmhouse, dating back to 1900, as a noncontiguous-historic district. This is believed to be one of only a few occasions since the enactment of the Local Historic Districts Act in 1970 in which a historic district was eliminated.
With nearly two decades of experience, John Gaber provides exceptional legal services in the areas of real estate, corporate, and general-business law.
