Birmingham Michigan attorney, Susan Orozco of Williams, Williams, Rattner, and Plunkett, P.C. was recently listed in Law and Politics Media Inc.’s 2010 issue of Super Lawyers for her dedication and excellence in a wide range of legal areas. The Super Lawyers’ Rising Star title is limited to the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in Michigan under the age of 40. This issue brings attention to the most reputable attorneys across the U.S. with special notice of Ms. Orozco’s involvement in numerous benchmark cases.

Specializing in real estate, land use litigation, commercial litigation, and trust litigation Ms. Orozco is admitted to practice law in the state courts of Michigan and the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Michigan. Prior to her time at WWRP, she served as a congressional intern to Congressman John D. Dingell in Washington, D.C. and as a judicial intern to the Honorable Nancy G. Edmunds in the United States District Court. Ms. Orozco also worked as a law clerk at Van Belkum & Felty P.C., a malpractice defense firm in Plymouth, Mich. and is a member of the Oakland County Bar Association as well as the Beta Gama Sigma Honor Society.

The annual Super Lawyers Rising Star designation is provided to young lawyers in each state who have received the highest point totals, as chosen by their peers and through independent research. The list is published throughout the country as a special insert in leading newspapers, city, and regional magazines and reaches more than 13-million readers. The magazine features articles about the honored attorneys and is distributed to all lawyers in the state or region, the lead corporate counsel of Russell 3000 companies, and the ABA-approved law-school libraries.

The publication selects all attorneys using a rigorous, multiphase process through peer nominations and evaluations that are combined with third-party research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis with an objective to create a credible, comprehensive, and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource for attorneys and consumers who are searching for legal counsel.
