At a recent ceremony at Meadowbrook Hall on the Oakland University Campus, Chief Justice Marilyn Kelly administered the oath of office to Birmingham attorney, James P. Cunningham as President of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Michigan Chapter.

Jay is a former President of the Oakland County Bar Association, an adjunct professor of family law at Thomas M. Cooley Law School and also chairperson, State Bar of Michigan’s Character & Fitness Committee, District I (Oakland County).  He is a principal in the law firm of Williams, Williams, Rattner & Plunkett, P.C.
