For a decade and a half, Mark R. James has provided legal services designed to promote his clients’ best interests with clear insight and expert advice. Mr. James focuses his practice primarily in corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, commercial and private lending and related business law matters. He assists his clients in the areas of entity selection and formation, drafting and negotiating documents and structuring and closing transactions. Mr. James also practices in the areas of commercial and residential real estate transactions and entertainment law.
Prior to joining Williams, Williams, Rattner & Plunkett, he was associated with Keith Sirlin & Associates and Logan & Associates, where he represented clients inside and outside the courtroom in a variety of matters. He is admitted to practice in Michigan, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Mr. James is a member of the State Bar of Michigan (Member: Corporate, Finance and Business Law Section) and the American Bar Association (Member: Real Property, Trust and Estate Section, Section of Business Law and Committee on Legal Opinions).
